I’m so excited to be working with The Friends of Mountain View on a new film about Junius B. Fishburn’s gorgeous Mountain View Mansion in beautiful Roanoke, Virginia!
This project is nearly a year in the making, and is a topic I am very excited to put to screen for people to learn more about!
Built in 1907, Mountain View (often called Fishburn Mansion) is located in the heart of downtown Roanoke, VA, and operates today as a community center. But its rich history spans nearly all corners of the Roanoke we know today! This film seeks to be a grand introduction to Roanoke’s own gilded mansion, Mountain View, its generous owner, Junius B. Fishburn, and the journey to restore the mansion for future generations.
Keep an eye out for updates as the film goes into production!
I have the opportunity to work with Historic Sandusky, property of The University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Virginia, and its Emmy Award-winning Executive Director to help him in putting together his second film, with the working title Lynchburg at War. I'll be editing footage that they filmed years ago when they shot their Emmy Award-winning film, Hunter's Raid, as we build the sequel. But, we are ALSO shooting some fresh footage! I'm so excited about this project, set to be finished at the end of 2025!
