I’m so excited to be working with The Friends of Mountain View on a new film about Junius B. Fishburn’s gorgeous Mountain View Mansion in beautiful Roanoke, Virginia!

This project has been in production for over a year, and is a topic I am very excited to put to screen for people to learn more about!

Built in 1907, Mountain View (often called Fishburn Mansion) is located in the heart of downtown Roanoke, VA, and operates today as a community center. But its rich history spans nearly all corners of the Roanoke we know today!  This film seeks to be a grand introduction to Roanoke’s own golden mansion, Mountain View, its generous owner, Junius B. Fishburn, and the journey to restore the mansion for future generations.  This film is expected to premiere in early 2026!

I have the opportunity to work with Historic Sandusky, property of The University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Virginia, and its Emmy Award-winning Executive Director to help him in putting together his second film, with the working title Lynchburg at War. I'll be editing footage that they filmed years ago when they shot their Emmy Award-winning film, Hunter's Raid, as we build the sequel. But, we are ALSO shooting lots of fresh footage! I'm so excited about this project, set to be finished sometime in 2026!

I’m honored and humbled to collaborate with Christiansburg Institute, Inc. on their new documentary exploring the remarkable legacy of the Christiansburg Industrial Institute—its lasting influence on Montgomery County and beyond, and its deep connections to Booker T. Washington and other visionary leaders. The film is being created in partnership with the More Than a Fraction Foundation and Historic Smithfield.

Pre-production has already begun and we are aiming for a Spring completion!

Based on actual Etiquette and Courtship books from the Edwardian Era, this comedy of errors may seem far-fetched to the (actual) modern viewer, but it is not!
