The 48-HOUR FILM PROJECT
In 2021 I joined with my Roanoke-based filmmaker friends and colleagues to form a team to compete in the 48-Hour Film Project. The 48 is an annual film competition in which teams of filmmakers are assigned a genre, a character, a prop, and a line of dialogue, and have 48 hours to create a short film containing those elements. The competition has been active since 2001. We called our team "21 Jump Cut" and have competed in the Lynchburg, Virginia and Richmond, Virginia competitions, and even made it to the Worldwide Competition, FILMAPALOOZA, with our very first 48-hour film, "Art of the Crime," for a weekend of Filmmaking fun in DC with new friends from all over the world!
