Just Take One

CHLOE SHELTON, PRODUCER  of Just Take One

In a timeless neighborhood, after the leaves have fallen, the winds are stronger, and the jack o' lantern is lit with a flame, two Trick-or-Treaters find one of the most horrifying tricks of all.

Writer, Director and Cinematographer, Dylan Trail won the top award of Best Cinematography 2022 for Just Take One at Richmond, VA's acclaimed film festival, Magic of Horror.  "Just Take One" was also nominated for Best Costume Design and Best Virginia Film as well.

Shot quickly over Thanksgiving weekend in 2021, this story was conceived and shot by Dylan Trail of Trailmix 2000 Productions.  I was brought aboard as the co-producer.  Although the horror genre is straying a bit from my usual focus, the production elements that he envisioned setting the film in (a timeless era on a Halloween night) were intriguing to me.  Dylan's cinematography is beautiful and award-winning in this short experimental piece.   Ryan Ramey, the prop master for this film, did an amazing job, as always, fabricating perfect accessories to tell the story in a very convincing way.
