Dreaming About You Music Video Shoot

For the past six months or so, I've been working with Sullivan Smith of Sullivan Smith and the Stray Lions on development of a music video for one of their new upcoming songs that will be released later this year. He had some really creative ideas about the premise of the video and allowed me to write a treatment for it, building off of his ideas and molding it into a collaboration that we both connected with!

What we came up with is a colorful dream set in a 1950s-esque rock-a-billy time. It's heavy in imagination, practical special effects (that we are saving for the video's premiere...no pictures give anything away here) and a very cool song that I know you will be humming to yourself after you hear it!

I was so excited to have Zane Farmer as my Director of Photography for this shoot! He is so talented and was able to take this crazy idea and plan and execute the most beautiful and intricate shots! Kayla Saunders joined me as my Assistant Director! She was the best right-hand woman for this shoot and made directing with an injury a million times easier! Ben Mullen, expert Grip and Electric of We Got Your Back Productions, lit the sets up beautifully, whether inside our treehouse set or diner or outside in the woods! And, Set Designer, Jenna Giannini brought this colorful, crazy dream to life with her attention to detail! We were also so excited to have amazing Production Assistants and 1st Assistant Camera who never stopped moving through our 3 day shoot! As always, it was a beautifully orchestrated team effort on the part of every person on our set!

Our locations and hosts were simply amazing from our treehouse set to a beautiful pond, field and forest in Franklin County, VA and the fun Pink Cadillac Diner in Natural Bridge, VA! We couldn't ask for more perfect settings!

Our actors did an amazing job in hot and buggy conditions, executing performances that I can't wait to share with you! Nathan Kellner and Gabrielle Shelton will be seen in the lead roles. Jim Hoover, Isaac Bouldin and Ian Stump round out the cast. And, of course, you'll see Sullivan Smith, who did an amazing job on camera and off! I hope to get him back on another set someday! He's a natural!
