WHEN THE LIGHTS
GO ON AGAIN
2017
CHLOE SHELTON, WRITER AND DIRECTOR, PRODUCTION DESIGN/COSTUMES, CO-EDITOR & POSTER DESIGN of
When the Lights Go on Again
This film was my first long-form narrative short film, written and produced when I was 16 years old. It was written as an assignment for The Grandin Theatre Film Lab in Roanoke, VA. Because it was picked to be produced I had the honor of completing it with my team of 3 other high school students as the crew. This film taught me to reach for the stars and not be constrained by fear of locations or stories that might be too large in scope or seemingly ambitious. Please enjoy my story about a young girl in London as she copes with the emotional effects of her family’s involvement in World War 2 during the London Blitz.
